Adriene Akiko grew up in St Louis, where she first learned to Rock Climb. By age 8 she was competing in youth national level events and winning local adult competitions drawing attention from the local community. She currently lives in Centennial Colorado and trains at Movement - Centennial.

In 2024, she won the PanAmerican Championships in Bouldering, finished 2nd at the Elite National Championships, 3rd place at the Elite National Championships and completed in her second World Cup season. Her sights are set on the 2028 Olympics.
