Adriene Akiko grew up in St. Louis, MO where she first started climbing. At 8 years old Adriene started her competitive career in youth national level events, as well as winning local adult competitions and drawing attention from the local community. She currently lives in Centennial, Colorado and trains at Movement Climbing Gyms in the Denver area.

2024 Pan-American Champion in Santiago, Chile for Bouldering, Adriene also secured 1st place at U.S. National Team Trials in Lead, and 2nd place in Bouldering in 2025. Completing her fourth season on the World Cup Circuit with a personal best of 15th place in Lead at the Innsbruck World Cup she is now looking to the 2025 World Championships in Seoul, South Korea in September. Adriene Akiko is working toward the 2028 Olympics.
